:// Horse Objective Weeks 1-2 - How do you greet your partner when they first come to visit you? Are you quick to trust, or more wary?

"He's afraid of having his face touched." Jamison had said before leading her back to the paddock. "So, don't put your hands up to his head unless you want him to freak out. Also, don't corner him. He's likely to get frightened and plow you over trying to get away."

Perhaps she wasn't listening because the barn owner happened to be so attractive and she hadn't seen her cheating liar of a boyfriend in quite a few months now. Perhaps she was just nervous to meet the therapy horse she would be paired with for...well...who knows how long. If he rejected her, what would she do? Enomine thought about it, and knew well what she'd do. She'd likely cycle through to one of her other personalities in response to the pain and let them take care of it, trying to protect herself.

In any case, when Jamison pointed him out to her. He was a very strange looking horse, nothing she'd ever seen before, with one eye clouded over. "Why is that?" Enomine asked, and Jamison explained to her how badly he had been beaten before he was rescued. "Recently he had surgery to get a bone chip removed that was from his nose being broken, we assume by a fist or some object." He said. "So he's even more sensitive right now."

Jamison didn't linger to watch her interact with Stevie, not wanting to make either of them nervous with his observation, so as she let herself in, he walked away. The other stallions were in the autumn paddock by now, but he and another very strange looking horse lingered here. The other was wandering away, but Enomine could tell that he was watching after that one like a hawk. When she approached him, she realized that he was the only one with a halter on. How strange. While pondering this, she stuck one hand on his crest and one hand up to his nose for him to sniff, because that's what you did with new animals.

Stevie squealed and jerked his head away from her, the whites of his eyes showing in fear as he pranced away, frantically looking for a way out. "Woah there!" Enomine said, suddenly remembering the advice, yet not putting her hand down. "I"m not going to hurt you." Stevie clearly didn't believe it, and nearly ran her over in an attempt to get away. Once he was safely at the side of the other horse, who seemed completely indifferent to him, did he seem to calm down. Occasionally he would look back at Enomine like she was some sort of monster, but then would go back to standing sentinel. Enomine sighed deeply, wounded by his behavior, but understanding that it was her fault. If she had properly listened and followed instructions, things might have gone smoother. Mentally kicking herself and feeling frustrated, she let herself under the fence and walked away, frustrated tears rolling down her cheeks. She had been greeted like she had been the one beating him all that time, and it hurt. What was she supposed to learn from that?! She asked herself angrily, starting her motorbike.

Jamison must have heard the commotion and had come outside again. "Are you leaving so soon?" He asked her, and she gave him a hard glance before driving off down the driveway, irritated and on the verge of change.

Not the best way to greet people, Stevie, you jerk. But who can blame him.
