She really hadn't expected to run into him again...again. The first time was a real surprise. Who would have thought that the young, rambunctious Norwegian fellow would happen to live in the same little sleepy coastal village in Ireland that her grandmother had called home? And the fact that she had run into him - and that he recognized her - was even more surprising. It wasn't like she often sought people out, especially old customers.

When they parted that one day early on in her life in Toradh, she hadn't really pictured them being friends. He was a person that was very kind and personable, but better in small doses as his energy was sometimes overbearing. She doubted it was just her feeling this way, but she did see him on the rare occasion she decided to go into town, among people who seemed the quieter and more subtle sort. He apparently decided to pursue the matter without her however.

Perhaps he was with his band, or with his 'adventure' friends but he had mentioned this girl to someone and how she seemed like a nice person who just needed to be pulled out of her shell, and decided to figure out how to get her to warm up to him. Not knowing the meaning of stalking, that is what he did...and it wasn't hard. She stayed home quite often, but when she went out it seemed more often than not it was the sake of some artistic endeavor. Art...it was sort of like music. It was an expression of feelings and that he definitely could share with her. But how to introduce the idea?

Christmas was coming around and he thought that maybe it would be nice to get her a present for the next time he 'ran into her' as a sort of peace offering. Not knowing what an artist would want for a present, he brought up the matter with his dear friend Jacob for advice, mentioning Dáiríne's love for painting. Watercolor pencils were then suggested to him, with the idea that she might like a different way to paint her pictures. He went out and bought a nice set of them, then waited for the perfect time to present them.

She was on her way to Galway to meet some friends for the holidays when she saw...Kilian, she thought he was called. Yes, Kilian. He was looking a bit odd with his once strawberry blonde hair looking rather...pink tinted. That was the least of her concerns as she watched him walk over and then - of all things - decided to sit next to her. She wasn't sure if she wanted that much togetherness with the fellow to include a trip to Galway. "Hi..." She murmured, as Kilian plopped down wearing a Freddy Kreuger sweater and biker boots. This just got better and better.

"Hi!" Kilian said enthusiastically back, handing her the tin of pencils with a giant smile on his face. She looked at them for a moment before taking them slowly, reading the front before turning them over. She didn't have much time to analyze before his explanation of his impromptu gift came.
"Looks! They are both pencils and watercolors. Theys really cool!" He said, ushering her to open them up to look at. Dáiríne wasn't sure quite what to say except thank you, shocked at the sudden and expensive gift.

To her pleasant surprise, that was all he wanted. "I hopes to see you around usings these!" He said as he got up. "Maybe you should make a nice picture of the city while you're there." With that he waved and wandered away, looking rather proud of himself. Dáiríne was left to consider her pencils and the strange man who had given them to her, nearly missing the bus with her preoccupation.

I'm sorry this is so late. |B Lame, I know. Dáiríne looks like she's nearly frozen there and Kilian is like 8D "DERP I HAVE PINKISH HAIR STILL FROM HALLOWEEN". Oh the fun of dying your hair funky colors. IT NEVER LEAVES. Dummy. I also just went the lazy way and used the Metalocalypse method for accents.

I guess that poll was just for fun. Now all I want to do is turn Toradh characters into my little ponies. Hopefully 'my style' will turn back to itself because I don't like whatever this is.
